I took a break y’all. This journey has been fun however I have been busy working (being an executive), being a mom, being a wife, being a board member, just being all the things and wearing all the titles. I do them with joy and with love though. One of the things I embraced during 2020 was the downtime and not being committed to five thousand different things, events and people. Don’t get me wrong, I miss a lot of that and most importantly the people. Now that the world is opening up, my family and I are vaccinated and we are out in these streets a bit more! Its been good but it also has me very conscious about how I and we jump back into this race. I don’t want to be addicted to busy!! Let me say that again, I don’t want to be addicted to busy!! So I took a break and have put a little less focus on taking pics, blogging and focused on my family.
But I am back!! I realize that I am going to have to be very careful about what I commit to and how I move going forward to protect my time, space and energy. It’s a part of my self care and I will continue to prioritize for myself and my family. Simply saying no is a complete sentence and it is ok!!
Now…while we are still in summer mode, the weather dipped a bit and cooled off, but I decided to step out in my Dressed in Joy fit to bring the color and the light to the city!!! I got soooo many compliments on this set and its just full of joy. The fit and the fabric are fabulous. I was able to catch a sale and am so glad I did. You can catch this set at Mikaela Pabon’s site Dressed In Joy. She is the amazing designer of these fabulous prints and statement pieces to add to your wardrobe. Make sure to join her email list to be on the latest drops and be the first to have access and shop!
That’s it for now, I hope you enjoy this color, brightness and joy. Remember to take the breaks that you need in your life. Protect your time, space and energy! #theblylifestyle
