Wow!! It’s hard to believe that we are wrapping another summer! Living in the midwest and being able to experience all the seasons is beautiful but summer is my all time favorite. There is something about the sun and warm weather that makes all of us feel better!
It’s been crazy busy though. I sent my firstborn off to college, was able to see and experience my nephew get drafted into the NFL, my daughter played great basketball and connected with several college coaches and it all flew by so fast. Travel this summer was mostly domestic as we did all the things above and mostly in prep to get Rasean off to school as a freshman in college in North Carolina. Basketball games were mostly in Kentucky and the draft was in Detroit. We are blessed to have been able to travel though and make the most out of our time together as a family. I have several other nieces and nephews who are also in college now and it is just amazing to watch them all grow into amazing young adults. It’s hard too…it really feels just like yesterday that they were all running around in my backyard or sleeping over and building forts in the living room. They will all forever be my babies.

I will be sharing more of that but this post is mostly about family and the love of my people…with some nice style to go along with it. I really need to do a post just about my African necklace tho. I will!! Ha!!
